Software Terminator 2 Pinball Pc S

Hey everyone, I havn't been on these forums since the change, couldn't remember my old username and pass from the other site. Not sure if this is where im supposed to post this, however.I have a question. I have the terminator 2 pinball table that I got from vp's old site, not on here now. I no longer have the read me file. However my question is regarding the gun that you shoot at targets for multiball and jackpot shots. In real life you would have to lineup on the side of the machine to make the shot. However on pc it is almost impossible to line up this shot and you just have to guess. This is for the Terminator 2 visual pinball 3.1P script.

When you open the table you can go to edit, script. In the script there is this messageThis version contains a gun position cheat code. To activate, find the line in Gun handler section' of script that reads 'GA.text = INT(GunAngle)' and remove the ' from beginning of this line. Now,' and only when gun is in motion, its position (angle) is displayed on the backdrop near lower right' corner of gun to help you.

To turn this feature off, just replace the '.I have went through the entire script and I am certain this cheat or line of code is nowhere to be found.I would really appreciate if someone has a terminator 2 table with this script cheat turned on. Or if someone could write up a new script for like a laser pointer. Anything to make these shots a bit easier on visual pinball. Anyone have any Idea how to enable this? This a totally different forum from AJ's VPForums.

COM, this is VPForums. Hence you had to re-register.To enable the cheat code on the T2 table1. Load the table in the editor2. Bring up th script in the menu3. Hold down the 'Ctrl' and press 'F' at the same time to enable the text search feature4.

Enter ' GA.text = INT(GunAngle)' in the text search box5. Press enter until ' GA.text = INT(GunAngle)' is highlighted in the 'Gun handler section'6. Delete the ' ' (apostrophe) at the beginning of the line7.

Choose recompile script from the script menu in the upper left corner of the script8. Re-save the table, then start as normalEdited by ValamirCleaver, 09 February 2009 - 06:51 AM. The version I uploaded doesn't have it, either. Maybe PD removed it. You know what they say about cheaters.now, go prosper.Yea that sucks, I used to be a crackshot at getting multiball and the jackpot, but on this I have only hit it twice out of about 100 times.

Terminator 2 Pinball

In VP I try to time it to the voice of arnold and the light indicator but that has proven worthless.Would be nice if someone could find a way to add it. Or just add a pointer while the gun is in motion.Whoever it was that designed that table did an excellent job. A flood of memories of my friends and I hanging out around our local bowling alley dropping quarters in that game nightly for about 2 years came rushing back. Now where can I find a full table of Freddy-Nightmare on Elm Street and ROM?Edited by Husker, 09 February 2009 - 08:34 AM. Aww too bad someone close to you or yourself does not have another dmd to try or dmd controller board. I bet its the ram on the dmd controller board. If your not going to repair it swap the controller first.Seen that lots. Same as bad caps but that usually causes rolling.

Cables are number 1 and as you tried reseating them along with replacing them so we can rule them out.Little tip.make sure your dmd controller is 100 percent before plugging in your new display!no sense potentially hurting a new display.Good luck and cheers. I replaced the DMD controller first as you suggested and it does appear to have resolved the vertical lines!20111 (resized).jpgRemoving the old controller and getting a look at the back side makes it pretty apparent that there's probably a failure in the lower, high voltage section. The PCB looks pretty crispy.20103 (resized).jpgAfter replacing the controller, the DMD was still making a high pitched squeal and I can't remember if it's normal or not. No matter, because I also installed my new ColorDMD! It really does make this old game seem new again and I'm quite happy with the purchase so far.20106 (resized).jpgI managed to fix a few other problems it had tonight too, so I think it's officially playable now!

One thing I'm not sure how to fix is that it almost always kicks 2 balls out of the trough to start the game instead of 1, but I'll start a new topic for that. Thanks everyone! In future, if you see display issues like this, run a display test from the test menu. This will test the integrated circuits on the display controller board and will report any issues. This looks like a simple video RAM issue and could have been as simple as a $1 integrated circuit replacement. The burned section on the rear of the board was probably not related as high voltage problems usually effect the entire display rather than specific vertical segments.Good advice, but the vertical lines made the display unreadable to the point that I couldn't navigate the menus. Now that I have spare parts on hand, I do intend to go back and see if I can get the old controller working, but I was trying to get the machine functional as quickly as possible as I'll have a bunch of people at the house over the holidays. Now that I have spare parts on hand, I do intend to go back and see if I can get the old controller working, but I was trying to get the machine functional as quickly as possible as I'll have a bunch of people at the house over the holidays. This is exactly why I suggested replacing the boards as opposed to using the test menu because once display issues get bad its tough if not impossible to read. Good on you for fixing it. Color dmd's are amazing. As mentioned above.Your original controller merely needs a ram replacement and a 7 - 10 dollar high voltage rebuild and its good to go. Some dmd's make noise with certain power supplies. If you rebuilt the original I bet it would be much quieter.Time to play. You'll be back! Sorry had to say it.
